4. Purposes of processing personal data and the legal grounds for processing
Purposes of processing
The Rescue Department, along with entities mandated by Section 46 of the Rescue Act, are required to participate in rescue operation planning and to fulfill their statutory duties during rescue operations and to prepare for these operations under both normal and emergency conditions. To facilitate these duties and their preparation, these entities are permitted to maintain a personal data register of individuals and resources allocated for these tasks.
Legal grounds for processing
Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union: processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject.
Article 6(1)(e) of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union: processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.

5. Data contents of the register
The register includes the individual’s name, date of birth, personal identity code, assigned task, and the task’s classification (important, very important, or of crucial importance).
6. Regular disclosure of personal data
As a rule, data will not be disclosed. Personal data will not be transferred outside the EU or the European Economic Area (EEA).
7. Data retention periods
As a general rule, the personal data register for preparedness operations is updated every five years. At this time, the details of individuals who are to be removed from the preparedness register will also be deleted.
8. Sources of personal data
The data for the personal data register is sourced from the common personal data system, the individuals themselves, and contract fire brigades, based on established fire brigade contracts.
