Purposes of processing

The purposes of processing personal data this register is to comply with the statutory supervision requirements outlined in Section 78 of the Rescue Act. To achieve this, we gather information from residents of detached houses via a self-assessment questionnaire.

Legal grounds for processing

Article 6(1)(e) of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union: processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.

5. Data contents of the register

The data collected includes: residential address, the respondent’s name or the property owner’s name, telephone number, and email address. Additionally, we collect information provided by the respondent regarding the building’s fire safety measures.

6. Regular disclosure of personal data

Personal data will not generally be disclosed or transferred outside the EU or the European Economic Area (EEA).

7. Data retention periods

The collected data is retained for the duration of the time period between the property supervision duties plus 10 years. Thus, fire safety questionnaires for detached houses are retained for 20 years.

8. Sources of personal data

Property address data is gathered from the population information system maintained by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. Personal data and information related to the property’s fire safety measures are obtained directly from the client when they respond to the questionnaire.
