Call-up health examination
Pre-Call-Up Health Examinations 2026 (Student Health Services, Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County)
Student health services will conduct pre-call-up examinations for:
- Men born in 2008 and required to attend the 2026 call-ups.
- Men scheduled for re-examination during the 2026 call-ups because they were previously assigned service class E. Note: If your examination is assigned to a regional office (aluetoimisto), you must attend there.
- Women enrolled in upper secondary (lukio) or vocational schools (ammattikoulu) and applying for voluntary military service. The examination takes place at the student’s own school, the resulting medical certificate is valid for three months, and application forms are provided at the appointment.
If you live in Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County but study elsewhere, your examination is usually held at your school. However, if you prefer to be examined in your home municipality, you may book an appointment following the instructions at the end of this page.
Student health services will not conduct pre-call-up examinations for:
- Those in service fitness class E when their examination is scheduled at a regional office (please refer to your call-up letter for details).
- Applicants for voluntary military service who are university or University of Applied Sciences students, or non-students.
- Immigrants aged 18–30 who acquired Finnish citizenship at age 18 or later.
- Individuals seeking a re-evaluation of their previous service fitness classification.
- Anyone requesting a medical certificate to postpone their conscript service.

- Additionally, Espoo and Kaunainen residents may choose to book an appointment with the Centralised Student Healthcare Unit.

Before Your Examination – What to Bring
- Pre-Information Form: Complete the Finnish Defence Forces’ pre-information form and bring it with you, along with any medical documents or records of past examinations and treatments that might affect your military service.
- Identification: Bring your ID.
- Glasses: If you wear glasses, bring them along with your current prescription—do not wear contact lenses during the examination.
- Kanta Services Acknowledgement: Confirm that you have received the information on Kanta services online to simplify your access to these services | Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County (luvn.fi) and www.lunna.fi
