Student welfare services

Student welfare services include healthcare services for pre-primary school children, school and student health services as well as school social worker and psychologist services from pre-primary education to upper secondary education.

Student welfare services work with the rest of the educational institution staff to promote inclusion and wellbeing in the school community, striving to prevent problems. We also support the learning, health and wellbeing of individual pupils and students. Student welfare services are mainly provided in educational institutions at all levels of education.

Guardians can also receive guidance and counselling related to matters such as school attendance, studies and parenthood.

You can contact any professional in student welfare services. We will assess and agree who can best support you.

Contact us

Please contact student health services by phone, by email (we recommend using secure email), or by sending a non-urgent message to a nurse via Lunna. To contact your school's counselor or psychologist services, you can send a message via Wilma. However, please note that Wilma should not be used to send personal social or healthcare information. Contact details can be found on your school's website or notice board.

Students can come and talk to the nurse, school social officer or psychologist whenever their door is open. You can also visit the nurse and the psychologist without an appointment during their walk-in hours. The walk-in hours are stated on the door of the reception room or on the notice board.

Service fees

Student welfare services are free of charge.

A fee of EUR 56.70 is charged in student welfare services for missed, uncancelled appointments with the public health nurse, doctor or psychologist (does not apply to the services of the school social worker). The appointment must be cancelled by 12:00 noon on the previous weekday at the latest. You cannot cancel appointments in Wilma. The fee is not charged from customers under the age of 18.
