Senior Info

We look for solutions to help you in everyday life and refer you to suitable services.

The advice for older people is intended for older people living in Western Uusimaa and their families or loved ones.

The aim of the advisory services is to promote your well-being and support living at home. We will work with you to find solutions and alternatives to help your everyday life and support your functional capacity. We will find out what services you need and guide you to receive these services.

We will explore the services of public and private providers and non-governmental organisations in the region to find the services that best suit your situation. We will carry out an initial assessment of your situation and, if necessary, refer you to a more extensive assessment of the service needs performed by the client guidance services for older people.

You can contact us about situations such as:

  • Problems related to housing or finances
  • Home care services
  • Mobility and services
  • Volunteer activities
  • Support for informal care
  • Applying for sheltered housing
  • Services for veterans
  • Services for people with memory disorders

You can also contact the advisory services if you are already a client of services for older people and need help with using the services or due to a change in your life situation.

You can submit a notification of concern to the advisory services if there is someone close to you whose welfare you are concerned about and the person is unable to obtain help for themselves or understand their need for help.

The advisory service is free of charge, but telephone contact is subject to a fee. The cost of the call depends on your operator's pricing.
